Flobots.org is hiring an experienced organizer to work in Denver and the Front Range to support music fans as they transform themselves and their communities. The street team coordinator will match volunteers with opportunities to work in the community and will help them translate their experiences into a broader understanding of social change and our individual roles in that change.
The position will start at approximately 25 hours per week and move to full-time as soon as funding allows, we hope within six months. Flobots.org offers a very good compensation package, including paid holidays and health benefits.
Click here for a job description.We’re looking for a street team coordinator who has these qualifications:
• Minimum of one year of experience with community organizing or volunteer management
• Excellent public speaking and group facilitation skills
• Experience in using social networking applications, user generated/sharing content applications (wiki, flikr, YouTube, etc.) and managing databases
• The ability to articulate an understanding of the ways racism, sexism, homophobia and imperialism operate in the US and world
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends
• Access to reliable transportation
