If you’re a Flobots fan, you know we don’t do a ton of covers. But when we do, they are usually pretty unique. Like every band out there, we try to put our own spin on songs we love and make them our own.
If you’ve seen us perform live over the years, you may have heard our versions of The Final Countdown (Europe), or Heartbreaker (Pat Benatar), but you probably and most definitely have heard our version of - Happy Together by The Turtles.
It’s one of our favorite songs to play live! For years, we’ve had our Flobots Fam request a studio version to stream, and we finally answered the call.
After working out some rights issues, we are happy to be releasing this version of the song into the world.
This recording includes performances by all the original founding members of Flobots. Andy Rok Guerrero lends his pipes to the hook, with Brer Rabbit and Jonny 5 juxtaposing verses.
